Our Programs

Today, the coding skills are becoming as necessary as knowing how much is 2+2, while the robots will start playing an important part in our daily lives in not so distant future. Why not get an early start and become comfortable with both from the early age, while having a lot of fun of course! Besides meeting super cute Dash & Dot and Ozobot robots and learning to code, the participants will improve their creative, problem solving and team building skills.

Currently Kinderbots offer 4 types of programs: 8 week Dash & Dot and Ozobot Experiences, a semester long Bot Experience Program, and an ongoing weekly Bot Lab activity exploration. Our classes are most suitable for the 5-9 year old kids but curious older kids with no prior experience are always welcome to attend!

8-week Program with Dash & Dot

Have fun coding Dash & Dot! Learn basic computer science concepts and how to code robots by designing state machines using the Wonder app. Every week some of your favorite book characters will go on an adventure coded by you. You might have to work in teams of 2, so invite a friend to sign up too.

Concepts covered: programs, loops, conditionals, debugging, event detection, sensors, robot autonomy.

Skills acquired: creativity, problem-solving, team building, abstractive thinking.

Have fun coding with your favorite robots! Bot Explorers is an instructional program to teach kids computational concepts with Dash & Dot, ozobots, and other materials. Kids will apply the concepts they learn to complete various missions and challenges with the robots. Program runs from September to the end of January, or February to the end of June, and children should commit to attending as many classes as possible.

Concepts covered: programs, loops, conditionals, debugging, event detection, sensors, robot autonomy, functions, variables, binary code, sorting algorithms.

Skills acquired: creativity, problem-solving, team building, abstractive thinking.

Have fun coding Ozobot Bit & Evo! Learn basic computer science concepts and how to code robots without a computer by drawing and coloring patterns and with a computer by using blocks on Ozoblockly. Every week some of your favorite book characters will go on an adventure coded by you.

Concepts covered: programs, loops, conditionals, debugging, functions, variables, sensors, robot autonomy.

Skills acquired: creativity, problem-solving, team building, abstractive thinking.

Student at the station

Bot Lab is a self-guided coding program for kids with activity stations featuring Dash & Dot, Ozobots, Coding Wand, and other coding platforms. Each week children can explore each or several activity stations at their own pace. There are 7 activity stations available: Blockly Challenge Cards, Dot Creative Package, Ozocode Station, Ozoblockly Station, Sketch Kit Station, Wonder League Robotics Competition, and Coding Wand. For a better experience, children should have prior experience and knowledge of coding.

Concepts covered: programs, loops, conditionals, debugging, event detection, sensors, robot autonomy, functions, variables, binary code, sorting algorithms.

Skills acquired: creativity, problem-solving, team building, abstractive thinking..
